Flowers have always been around me since I grew up. At home my stepmother had fresh colorful bouquets in every room....
When I was older I started to create my own gardens, always with lots of flowers so I could pick my own bouquets.
Flowers inspired my first paintings, with an abundance of color and shapes. Later I started using my camera to capture their beauty. Playing around with Photoshop I started adding layers and textures to photographs I had taken, to add a different dimension to them.
Composing these is a kind of meditation for me, it is a little bit like gardening with lots of pruning & clipping.
These are meant to be meditative pieces, a reflection of softness and beauty in a rugged or unconventional environment anywhere in this world.
